Medical courier Bryan gets swallowed by a single catastrophic night and has to fight to survive as everything collapses around him, a kinetic horror sci-fi ride from Zach Cregger. It moves fast and keeps the pressure on, and a loud, dark theater is the right way to take the chaos head on. Paul Walter Hauser and Kali Reis round out the cast.

Peter Parker fights crime full time in a world that has forgotten him, and the pressure sparks a transformation he may not control as an unseen villain menaces the city. It is a science fiction action adventure with the scale and set pieces that reward a big screen, landing 89% on Rotten Tomatoes and 8.1 on IMDb. Screenings around the city are thin this week, so plan ahead if you want to catch it.
